Ashley Cacicedo-Surdovel is a passionate public servant and a committed advocate for community engagement. With a proven track record of leadership in community service, special events, and project management, she is driven by a vision of positive change and dedicated to making a lasting impact. Since 2016, Ashley has been an active volunteer with the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County, where she has contributed to youth programs, communications initiatives, and the Election Expo. She is excited to expand her service at the state level within the League, furthering her commitment to civic empowerment.
Professionally, Ashley serves as the Commission Assistant for District 2 in the City of Fort Lauderdale, supporting Commissioner Steven Glassman. In this role, she works directly with District 2 residents, connecting them to essential city and community resources to enhance their neighborhoods and improve quality of life.
Ashley is deeply dedicated to civic duty, education, volunteerism, and advocacy. In addition to her work with the League of Women Voters, she is actively involved in several other organizations. She currently serves as Vice President of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, Co-Director of the New Leaders Council Palm Beach, and is a Scholarship Committee Member for the South Florida Fair.
A proud alumna of Lynn University, Ashley holds a Master of Science in Communication Media Studies and Practice and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, with a minor in Media and Politics. During her time at Lynn, she was honored with the Female Student Leader of the Year Award and the Bradley Middlebrook II Student Service Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership and service.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Ashley enjoys spending quality time with her husband Reed and their cat, Calypso. She is an avid recreational enthusiast, with a passion for pickleball, ice skating, paddleboarding, and cycling. She values family and friends, finding joy in outdoor activities and making lasting memories with those closest to her.
